About the role
Based on Estate
I’m looking for a capable, hands-on chef who can take responsibility for the day-to-day guest meals, with support and guidance from me.
- The main responsibility will be looking after meals for guests staying in the lodges.
- This includes breakfast, as well as lunches and dinners according to their bookings and requirements.
- They would also assist the company team with preparation and service for weddings and functions.
What they're looking for
- Grade 12 and Chef Qualification
- 3 - 4 Years Experience
- Has solid experience in a professional kitchen, ideally with some lodge or guesthouse experience.
- Can confidently prepare and serve meals independently.
- Is hardworking, reliable and takes initiative.
- Is organised with preparation, stock control and kitchen hygiene.
- Is comfortable interacting with guests and accommodating dietary requirements.
- Can follow the company’s menus, recipes and presentation standards.
- Is happy living on-site and working around guest bookings, including weekends and public holidays.
