About the role
The Group Group is an integrated investment group that invests & operates across the agriculture value chain .There Vision is to be a leader in the South African producer and distributor of superior fruit and vegetables, and there mission is to produce, pack, market, and distribute quality fresh produce sustainably, ensuring the satisfaction of their clients and stakeholders. They require the services of a dynamic person to strengthen its Financial Management team at Production Western Cape. The incumbents will report to one of the Financial Managers of Production Western Cape, and be responsible for the preparation of management statements and the full financial support of the estates.
- Preparation of all monthly statements for the area, with variances explanations included Bank, creditors, receivables, and journals for the specific area's estates
- Preperation of Management Reports
- Financial Statements
- Management and control of the asset register: additions, disposals, depreciation and physical verification
- Assisting budgets and projections, and following up on capital expenditures against approved applications
- Quality control over clerical work before it reaches the Financial Manager
- Early modifications of anomalies and trends, and improvement of reports and system
What they're looking for
The ideal candidate possesses:
- BSc / BCom Degree - Accounting
- Registered AGA (SA)
- Completed SAIPA Articles
- 3-5 Years of experience in an appropriate accounting role
- Above average Excel skills
- Microsoft Buinsess Central experience will be given priority
- Strong analytical and administrative ability
- Good interpersonal skills, and will be characterised by honesty, drive, strict discipline and the ability to function on one's own initiative.
- Experience in an agricultural environment will strengthen the application.
