Our client, a world-class luxury estate in Stellenbosch, is seeking a polished and service-driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of its flagship fine dining restaurant. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, this role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for exceptional guest experiences.

Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a key role in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations and consistently high service standards. You will assist with staff supervision, service flow, guest engagement, reservations, and daily operational coordination, while supporting the Restaurant Manager in achieving service excellence.

 

This position requires a hands-on leader who is present on the floor, confident in guest interaction, and capable of motivating and guiding a professional service team. You will assist with staff training, scheduling, stock control, and adherence to service procedures, ensuring that every guest experience reflects the restaurant’s reputation for quality and refinement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Supervisor, or Senior Waiter in a fine dining or luxury restaurant
  • Strong guest relations and communication skills
  • Proven ability to support and lead service teams
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage service standards
  • Organised, professional, and service-driven
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
