An established 4 hotel in Johannesburg South* is seeking an experienced, hands-on Banqueting Supervisor to join its Food & Beverage team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the preparation, setup, service and breakdown of conferences, functions and banqueting events, while ensuring consistently high standards of guest service. The role also includes overseeing the Banqueting Front of House team, maintaining venues and stock, and ensuring events run efficiently from start to finish.
Description
- Supervise banqueting setup, service and breakdown
- Brief, allocate and oversee FOH staff
- Ensure functions run smoothly and according to event requirements
- Maintain excellent guest service standards
- Liaise with kitchen, sales and hotel departments
- Assist with stock control, cash-ups and operating equipment
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and health & safety standards
- Train and support banqueting staff
Minimum Requirements
- Previous banqueting or F&B supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional, hands-on and guest focused
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
