The Property
Set in the beautiful North Cotswolds, a luxury countryside retreat comprising 25 contemporary rooms, lodge accommodation, an 18-hole golf course and restaurant offering modern British cuisine. The restaurant offers regularly changing menus centred around seasonal ingredients and produce from local suppliers. We are seeking a capable and committed Chef de Partie to join the kitchen brigade.
This would suit a chef who enjoys working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and takes pride in maintaining consistent standards through every service.
Description
- Take responsibility for an allocated section of the kitchen.
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to the required standard.
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure the section is fully prepared before service.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning and presentation.
- Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team.
- Support junior chefs and assist with their training where required.
- Monitor stock levels and help control food waste.
- Receive, check and correctly store kitchen deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professionally run section.
- Follow all food-safety, allergen, hygiene and HACCP procedures.
- Assist other sections during busy periods.
- Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes and menu development.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie within a quality restaurant, hotel or similar professionally managed kitchen.
- A sound understanding of fresh, seasonal cooking.
- Good preparation, cooking and presentation skills.
- Able to manage an allocated section independently during service.
- Organised, reliable and comfortable working under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to food quality.
- A positive team member with good communication skills.
- A working knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and kitchen safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
