Our client, a prestigious 5-star luxury safari lodge located within a world-renowned national park in the Eastern Cape, is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join their culinary team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an elevated hospitality environment and is dedicated to culinary excellence, quality, and creativity.

Description

As Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests in a unique safari lodge setting. You will be responsible for managing a designated section of the kitchen, preparing and plating dishes of the highest standard, and ensuring consistency and quality throughout service. Cognisant of both traditional and contemporary techniques, you will bring creativity and precision to every plate.

 

You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to maintain kitchen organisation, prepare mise en place, support food preparation across multiple outlets, and assist in mentoring junior kitchen staff. Exceptional time management, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential.

Minimum Requirements

  • Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-end kitchen environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality during service
  • Strong teamwork, organisation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
