Summary

Our client, a Healthcare Company has a vacancy for a Clinical Engineering Technician Assistant postion in Montuge Gardens, Cape Town.The prospective candidate must have 1 to 3 years of experience.

Description

The main purpose of this position:

You will be responsible for the repair of Faulty Medical Equipment, quality checking imported products and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers and ensuring the Standards of Medical Equipment are acceptable                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Shipments Checks:

 

  • Refer to incoming Stock Procedure
  • Note discrepancies
  • Quarantine Faulty Stock in R02 if necessary

 

Incoming Shipment Claims:

 

  • Evaluate faulty stock on incoming shipments and determine if supplier claim will be created                                          
  • Inform Supplier of faulty stock
  • Put in a Monetary Claim or Replacement Claim for the faulty stock  
  • If replacement stock is needed - add descriptions to Spares required register
  • Send the claim to Supplier with a full explanatory as to report why the client is claiming for the faulty stock                                
  • Claim is complete once Replacement Stock or Credit Note from supplier has been received
  • Ensure the Claims Register is up to date

 

Customer Returns Claims and Repairs:

 

  • As per internal procedures

 

Phone Enquiries:

 

  • Answer the telephone
  • Greet customers in a polite and courteous manner
  • Where a customer has a hearing impairment/Line Problem offer access to an alternative system eg. email
  • Take ownership of the call, resolving the customer’s enquiry wherever possible
  • End the call with a thank you and confirm with the customer the outcome
  • Return customer call and offer feedback if enquiry is not resolved immediately

 

Email Enquiries:

 

  • Respond to email enquiries allocated by Technical Manager            
  • Resolve customer Enquiry immediately if possible

 

CE and ISO Certifications:

 

  • Check CE certificates and ISO certificates and keep all Suppliers cognizant of CE certificates and ISO certificates
  • Keep Roster of Expiry Dates                                                         
  • Request CE & ISO certificates for all outdated documents              
  • Supplier should send the updated certificates to be filed

 

Filing:

 

  • Retrieve all Documents that needs to be filed for Future References
  • Keep files in organized fashion so that materials are easily located

 

Stock Take:

 

  • Assist with the Monthly Company Stock Take by counting stock sheets allocated by the Warehouse Manager. Also doing Re-Counts of Stocks

 

Any other tasks assigned by Management

Minimum Requirements

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 ( Matric)
  • Tertiary or Relevant Qualification essential
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • 1- 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Engineering Technician
  • Excellent Planning and Organizational skills
  • Drivers license and own transport
