The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, including financial planning, financial statements, and reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is highly advantageous.
Description
As the Director of Finance, you will be a key member of the hotel's leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will manage a team of approximately 12 associates in the finance and purchasing departments, ensuring the financial health and compliance of the organization. Your responsibilities will include developing financial strategies, managing budgets, conducting financial analysis, and preparing detailed financial reports. You will play a critical role in guiding the hotel's financial planning and decision-making processes to drive growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to the General Manager and executive team.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the finance and purchasing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to optimize efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Monitor cash flow, manage investments, and optimize financial performance.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in finance and accounting.
Minimum Requirements
- CA qualification highly advantageous or a similar qualification in finance or accounting, such as a degree or professional certification.
- Strong financial planning and reporting skills.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Knowledge of financial systems and processes.
- Experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is a significant plus.
