Our client, an exclusive luxury safari lodge situated within a private concession of the world-renowned Addo Elephant National Park, is seeking an enthusiastic and guest-focused Duty Manager to join their management team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring hospitality professional looking to grow their career within a luxury safari environment. The lodge offers an intimate guest experience with luxury suites, personalised service, and exceptional wildlife encounters.

Description

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day management of lodge operations, ensuring exceptional guest service standards are maintained across all departments. Responsibilities will include overseeing front-of-house operations, guest relations, coordinating lodge activities, supporting housekeeping and food & beverage departments, handling guest requests and concerns, and assisting with administrative and operational duties.

 

This role requires a hands-on manager who is passionate about hospitality and enjoys interacting with guests while ensuring smooth daily operations. You will work closely with senior management to maintain the high standards expected within a luxury safari lodge environment.

 

The position is ideally suited to someone seeking long-term growth within the hospitality industry and who thrives in a remote, guest-centric setting.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or Senior Front Office professional
  • Strong guest relations and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Professional appearance and presentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Hospitality qualification advantageous
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

 

Package:

  • Salary: R15,000 per month
