The successful candidate will support the Executive Chef in managing the day-to-day kitchen operation while ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence across all culinary offerings.
Description
The Executive Sous Chef will play a key role in leading the kitchen brigade, overseeing food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. Responsibilities include staff supervision and training, stock control, food cost management, menu implementation, supplier liaison, hygiene compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of food presentation and guest satisfaction.
Working closely with the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will help drive culinary excellence while ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and profitably. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong organisational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Minimum Requirements
- Formal Culinary Qualification
- Previous experience as an Executive Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef, or similar senior kitchen leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food costing, stock control, and kitchen administration
- Experience managing and developing kitchen teams
- Excellent understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Passion for culinary excellence and exceptional guest experiences
