Reporting to the Manager: Financial Business Performance, the position will be responsible for developing and analysing short- and long-range revenue forecasts, developing and maintaining the company’s financial model, developing, and maintaining the cost allocation model, developing cost of service, performing cost analysis and comparisons, performing acquisition/divestment, financial analysis and completing other financial and statistical analysis as needed.
Description
The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:
- Utilising methodologies, processes, architectures, and technologies from production data from DTCB and ODC by integrating data analysis tools and techniques to derive insightful financial forecasts.
- Acquiring and translating raw data into meaningful and useful information for business analysis purposes by employing advanced data interpretation skills to transform unprocessed information into actionable insights.
- Developing and analysing short- and long-range revenue forecast by collecting and reviewing historical data; modelling potential independent variables, presenting results to management, monitoring projections and actuals to ensure accuracy.
- Updating and enhancing corporate financial models by collecting data from various departments and integrating it into a financial model, developing hypotheses and forecasts to complete model, incorporating debt schedules, analysing revenue requirements, and developing scenario analysis to model varying operational and financial conditions.
- Developing and preparing financial plans and budgets for debt, debt service, cash requirements, capital financing, interest rate assumptions, and rate adjustments by collecting, analysing, and integrating financial data.
- Leveraging advanced financial modelling techniques and industry insights to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and provide a clear roadmap for optimising cash flow and debt management.
- Conducting analytical evaluations of processes, systems and data mining, and benchmarks against the diamond markets to obtain industry relevant data for diamond pricing and sales.
- Assisting with research and analysing trends in the diamond industry that will enhance and support ODC’s understanding of the market.
- Ensuring effective cost control and governance compliance by adhering to corporate policies.
- Ensuring safety in the workplace by participating in safety programs to reduce or eliminate accidents, injuries, and financial losses.
Minimum Requirements
The right candidate will possess the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Financial Management/ Actuarial Sciences / Financial Mathematics or equivalent.
- Member of BICA / CIMA /ACCA / CPA / CFA / Recognised Actuarial Association
- 4 years’ experience in undertaking complex financial planning and analysis at a corporate level
