Our client, an award-winning luxury boutique lodge situated in the beautiful Overberg region of the Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to lead the daytime guest experience across its vibrant food and beverage outlets. This live-in hospitality management opportunity is ideal for a passionate leader with a strong background in luxury hotels, boutique lodges, or high-end restaurants who thrives on delivering exceptional guest service.

 

The successful candidate will oversee all daytime Front of House operations while creating memorable guest experiences through outstanding service, team leadership, and operational excellence.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Guest Operations, the Front of House Manager will oversee breakfast, lunch, pool bar service, picnic experiences, children's dining experiences, and other daytime food and beverage offerings. The role includes leading and developing the Front of House team, managing staff rosters and training, maintaining exceptional service standards, overseeing beverage stock control and purchasing, supporting weddings and special events, and working closely with the Head Chef to ensure a seamless guest experience.

 

The successful candidate will also take ownership of the property's wine programme, showcasing local wineries while driving beverage profitability and maintaining excellent stock control.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Front of House Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Food & Beverage Manager within a luxury lodge, boutique hotel, or high-end hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent guest relations and hosting abilities
  • Experience with beverage management, stock control, and cost management
  • Sound wine knowledge with a passion for South African wines
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work a 21 days on / 7 days off live-in roster

 

Package on Offer

  • R15,000 per month during the three-month probation period
