Our client, an exclusive luxury safari lodge in Hoedspruit, is seeking a dynamic couple to join their team: a Head Chef and a Senior Wellness Therapist. This is a unique live-in opportunity for a couple passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences within a 5-star lodge environment.
Description
The Head Chef will take full responsibility for the kitchen, leading a team to deliver high-quality cuisine aligned with luxury lodge standards. This includes menu planning, stock control, team management, and ensuring consistency across all dining experiences.
The Senior Wellness Therapist will deliver a range of professional spa treatments while supporting the day-to-day operations of the wellness centre. The role also includes guest engagement, assisting with bookings and retail, and stepping into a supervisory role when required.
Both roles require individuals who are hands-on, guest-focused, and able to work collaboratively to enhance the overall lodge experience. This is a fully immersive, live-in role suited to a couple looking to grow within luxury hospitality.
• Head Chef: R18,000 + gratuities + R3,370 meal allowance
• Therapist: R16,000 + gratuities
• Medical aid contribution (50% after 3 months)
• Live-in accommodation (shared as a couple)

Minimum Requirements
Head Chef:
• Formal cheffing qualification
• Proven experience in a 5-star lodge environment managing a team
• Strong leadership, organisational, and stock control skills
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
• Non-smoker, no pets
Senior Wellness Therapist:
• CIDESCO, ITEC, or equivalent qualification
• Experience as a Senior Spa/Wellness Therapist
• Strong treatment and guest engagement skills
• Leadership or supervisory experience advantageous
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
