We are looking for a dynamic and self-sufficient Head Chef with a proven ability to manage a high-performing kitchen, capable of handling service for up to 300 guests. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong culinary vision and a commitment to delivering quality at scale.
Minimum Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development: Create and update innovative menus that appeal to a broad clientele, incorporating seasonal and locally inspired dishes.
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen to ensure smooth and efficient service during both regular dining and special events.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a dedicated team of chefs and kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Stock & Supplier Management: Manage food inventory and supplier relationships, ensuring optimal stock levels and ingredient quality.
- Quality & Consistency: Maintain high standards of food preparation, taste, and presentation across all menu items.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Cost Control: Monitor kitchen expenditures, manage food and labor costs, and implement effective cost-saving strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience as a Head or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant environment (serving up to 300 guests).
- Relevant culinary qualification or certification.
- Deep knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and modern plating.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Highly organized and efficient with excellent multitasking abilities.
- Creative thinker with a flair for menu innovation and event catering.
- Strong understanding of kitchen compliance standards and food safety protocols.
- Confident working independently, with sound decision-making skills.
