A leading international 5-star hotel in Kampala, Uganda is seeking an experienced and results-driven Hotel Manager to oversee daily operations, drive financial performance, and uphold world-class brand standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong commercial acumen and proven experience managing large-scale hospitality operations within an international environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of all hotel departments — ensuring excellence in guest experience, profitability, and team performance. You will work closely with department heads to execute company goals, optimize revenue streams, and maintain brand standards aligned with international hospitality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational departments, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Drive revenue growth, cost efficiency, and profitability across all departments.
  • Maintain and improve guest satisfaction, service quality, and brand reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety, and hygiene protocols.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads to deliver excellence.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for ownership and stakeholders.
  • Represent the hotel in key meetings, partnerships, and community relations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in hotel management, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven background in international hotel brands (experience with leading global chains advantageous).
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a commitment to operational excellence.
