Our client, a boutique apartment hospitality operation in the Franschhoek Winelands, is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead cleanliness, presentation and hygiene standards across multiple units. This role is suited to a hands-on hospitality professional with strong attention to detail and people management capability.

Description

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations including check-out cleans, stay-overs, deep cleans and pre-arrival inspections. You will ensure that all units consistently meet high presentation standards and are guest-ready at all times.

 

Due to the boutique nature of the operation, this role also includes limited front-of-house responsibilities. When required, you will assist with guest arrivals and check-ins, ensuring a smooth and professional handover of accommodation and addressing basic guest queries.

 

You will manage housekeeping staff, rosters and productivity, conduct quality inspections, and address issues proactively to protect guest satisfaction and review scores. Linen control, laundry coordination, stock management and cost control form a key part of the role.

 

This is a hands-on leadership position offering a salary of R15 000 per month, ideal for someone who understands the direct link between housekeeping standards and guest experience in a premium environment.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–5 years housekeeping supervisory or management experience
• Background in boutique or luxury hospitality preferred
• Strong organisational and people management skills
• Comfortable with guest interaction when required
• Reliable, flexible and detail-oriented
