Global Leader in the Engineering industry is looking for an IT Sub Product Owner to join their team on a long term contract basis.
Contract up to the end of December 2027 with possibility of renewal.
Description
You will be responsible for all aspects of the sub-product including delivery of agreed work, on time and to sufficient quality.
You will take full ownership and take the necessary measures within the team to ensure the above.
You will be the first point of contact for anything related to the sub-product and its applications.
Be responsible to take full ownership of the backlog, its content, and the prioritisation of this backlog.
Handle all escalations in the sub-product and arrive at solutions timeously.
Ensure production stability and prioritise necessary non-functionals to ensure that.
Research, understand and evaluate product requirements on the part of customers, market etc. and translate them into product
backlog items.
Constantly building good Team culture with healthy team dynamics.
Identify risks / impediments and proactively resolve them and escalate as necessary.
Mentoring and coaching team members.
Stakeholder and business engagement and management.
Navigate complex challenges independently and steer teams as they do likewise.
Implement the product vision and roadmap and establish it where it does not yet exist.
Plan ahead, future thinking, eliminate impediments.
Forecast and plan for resources, infrastructure, and licenses for the team.
Minimum Requirements
Product Owner skills taking ownership for all aspects of the (sub) product.
In-depth knowledge and experience of IT Project Management / Technical Team Lead activities, including
managing and steering teams.
Excellent leadership skills to steer large teams to deliver quality work on time.
Ability to work interdependently as well as independently and to submit deliverables on time and with
excellent quality.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally
and in writing) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users.
Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with an aptitude to move concepts through to
proposal and successful implementation.
Fantastic understanding of Agile principles and application thereof to Software Delivery and Agile tools Jira, Confluence.
Relevant IT / Business / Engineering Degree
5+ years experience in leading teams and being responsible for a team’s output.
8+ years experience in Software Development and Experience in IT Business Analysis.
15+ years overall IT working experience.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent Time Management and context switching Skills.
