Salary: R18,000 – R20,000 per month

A well-established 4-star hotel in Johannesburg South is seeking an experienced Junior Restaurant Manager to join its busy Food & Beverage team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional with proven hotel restaurant experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of daily restaurant operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Description

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of a high-volume hotel restaurant
  • Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest service
  • Ensure smooth breakfast, lunch and dinner service
  • Supervise opening and closing procedures
  • Manage staff scheduling, performance and ongoing training
  • Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation
  • Monitor stock levels, ordering and inventory control
  • Assist with food and beverage cost control and profitability
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and company standards
  • Support restaurant promotions, functions and special events
  • Complete daily administration, cash-ups and operational reporting accurately

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in a Restaurant Supervisor or Junior Restaurant Manager role within a 4 or 5-star hotel
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent guest relations and communication skills
  • Experience managing busy restaurant operations
  • Sound knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities
  • Experience with stock control, cash handling and cost management
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Professional appearance and a positive, hands-on attitude
