About the role

Our client is looking for a hardworking and dependable Kitchen Cleaner / Prep Hand to join a hospitality property in Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen while also being willing to assist with basic food preparation when required.

• The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and associated working areas. Duties will include cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, equipment and utensils, washing dishes where required, managing waste and ensuring the kitchen remains organised and ready for service.
• From time to time, the successful candidate will also assist the kitchen team with basic preparation duties, including peeling and preparing vegetables and other simple ingredients. No formal chef qualification is required; however, a willingness to learn and assist the culinary team is essential.
• The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable and comfortable working in a busy hospitality kitchen. You must understand the importance of food hygiene, cleanliness and teamwork and be prepared to assist wherever needed to keep the kitchen operating efficiently.

Salary: R6,000 – R7,000 per month
