Our client is seeking a hardworking and practical Maintenance Attendant / Handyman to assist with the general upkeep and maintenance of an established hospitality property in the Muldersdrift area.
This is a hands-on position suited to a genuine maintenance all-rounder who can turn their hand to a variety of everyday repairs and property-maintenance requirements.
Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attend to general property maintenance and repairs
- Complete minor plumbing repairs
- Assist with basic electrical maintenance within your level of competence
- Painting, patching and general building upkeep
- Basic carpentry and furniture repairs
- Repair doors, locks, hinges, fittings and fixtures
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections
- Assist with preventative maintenance
- Identify and report larger technical faults
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Maintain tools and work areas
- Assist with general property projects
- Follow health and safety procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Previous general maintenance, handyman or building-maintenance experience
- Practical skills across several trades
- Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting knowledge advantageous
- Confident using common maintenance tools
- Strong practical problem-solving ability
- Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on work
- Hardworking, reliable and willing to assist wherever required
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Hospitality or large-property maintenance experience advantageous
- Flexible regarding operational working hours
