Description

This is a hands-on operational leadership position ideally suited to an experienced management couple who complement each other's strengths in hospitality operations. Together, you will oversee the successful pre-opening and launch of multiple luxury safari lodges, implement operational procedures and international service standards, recruit and train lodge teams, and ensure every property delivers an exceptional guest experience from opening day.

 

Once each lodge is fully operational, you will transition to the next development project, providing operational leadership, mentoring department heads and ensuring consistency across the growing lodge portfolio. The role requires extensive travel between properties, adaptability and a genuine passion for luxury hospitality and people development.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 8–10 years' combined senior management experience within luxury safari lodges or five-star hospitality
• Proven experience in lodge openings, pre-openings or major operational transitions
• Strong operational leadership with experience managing multiple departments
• Demonstrated success in recruiting, training and mentoring hospitality teams
• Excellent financial, commercial and administrative management skills
• Exceptional guest relations and service delivery experience
• Strong project management and organisational abilities
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Tanzania
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
• Experience within internationally recognised luxury hospitality brands will be highly advantageous
