A unique and rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Management Couple to oversee the daily operations of a private, off-the-grid private game lodge located approximately 85km outside near Brits in the North West province. This live-in role is ideal for a couple with strong property, hospitality, land management and maintenance skills looking for a peaceful yet dynamic environment immersed in nature.

Our client is seeking a committed and self-sufficient Management Couple to take full responsibility for the operations, maintenance, guest experience, and preservation of a privately owned game lodge and its surrounding land. The couple will serve as custodians of the property, ensuring smooth running of the lodge, conservation of the land, care of wildlife, and a warm, professional welcome to guests.
Duties span a wide range of areas including hospitality and guest services, building and farmland maintenance, anti-poaching efforts, animal care, road and infrastructure upkeep, hunting logistics (including permit management), and general administration and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain lodge facilities, including accommodation, communal spaces, pool, water and electrical systems
- Oversee farmland maintenance, roadwork, firebreaks, and fencing
- Coordinate guest stays, from pre-arrival planning to on-site hosting and post-departure checks
- Handle hunting arrangements and ensure secure storage and legal compliance for firearms
- Lead daily cleaning and waste management routines
- Conduct basic building repairs and preventative maintenance
- Monitor game stock health and support anti-poaching controls
- Set up and maintain surveillance systems for property security
- Promote the lodge through basic marketing and advertising activities
- Compile and submit weekly reports to management, including workforce documentation
Minimum Requirements
- Proven lodge/property management experience in a remote or wildlife setting
- Solid technical skills in general maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc.)
- Strong hospitality and guest-relations capabilities
- Knowledge of firebreaks, conservation principles, and land claims management
- Firearm competency and hunting permit management experience (advantageous)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Administrative proficiency including basic reporting and workforce oversight
- Valid driver’s licenses for both individuals
- Comfortable living and working in an off-the-grid environment
