Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to join a progressive optometry practice that opened its doors in February 2026. Established with a vision to redefine eye care in the region, the practice specialises in behavioural optometry and is committed to delivering a highly personalised patient experience in a welcoming, clinical environment—far removed from the traditional retail setting.

As the practice continues to grow, they are seeking a professional, experienced, and detail-oriented Optical Assistant to become an integral part of their close-knit team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring exceptional patient service while maintaining efficient administrative and dispensing support.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with medical aid claims, laboratory orders, quotations, and general optical administration. Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build positive relationships with patients are essential. A proactive approach and genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care will be highly valued.

This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative practice from its early stages and contribute to its continued success while working in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

If you are ready to be part of a practice that is transforming the way eye care is delivered, apply online or contact amanda@optivet.co.za for more information.
