An established optometry practice is looking for a passionate and patient-focused Optometrist to join its team as soon as possible. This opportunity would suit a newly qualified Optometrist or an Optometrist with a few years of clinical experience who is eager to build meaningful relationships with patients and make a difference through quality eye care. The practice serves a wonderfully diverse patient base, from young children to older patients, making adaptability, patience and excellent communication skills essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with people from all walks of life and will bring a warm, approachable and professional manner to every consultation. - Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments or referrals
- Provide expert advice on eyewear selection, lens options, and contact lenses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and developments in optometry

- Is a qualified and registered Optometrist.
- Is newly qualified or has a few years of experience.
- Is fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- The ability to communicate in Xhosa would be advantageous.
- Is patient, compassionate and approachable.
- Enjoys working with both children and older patients.
- Can confidently communicate with and care for patients from diverse backgrounds.
