An established and reputable franchise optometry practice is seeking a dedicated, professional, and Afrikaans-speaking Optometrist to join its dynamic team.

 

This busy practice is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, maintaining high clinical standards, and building strong, lasting relationships with its patients. The successful candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced environment, possess strong clinical skills, and bring a warm, personable approach to every consultation.

 

The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple branches, providing variety and valuable professional exposure. A company vehicle will be provided for branch-to-branch travel.

 

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:00–17:00
Alternating Saturdays: 08:00–12:00

 

Salary: Market-related, depending on experience.

Description

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
  • Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments or referrals
  • Provide expert advice on eyewear selection, lens options, and contact lenses
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and developments in optometry

Minimum Requirements

  • B.Optom degree and HPCSA registration
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English
  • The ability to multitask and thrive in a busy practice
  • A patient-focused and professional approach
  • A genuine passion for optometry and delivering quality patient care
