About the role

An established and busy small animal veterinary practice in Johannesburg South is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Veterinarian to join its professional and patient-focused team. This opportunity is ideally suited to a veterinarian looking for a flexible part-time position while continuing to provide high-quality clinical care in a supportive practice environment. The role offers: Afternoon shifts 2–3 times per week Approximately 2 Saturdays per month The opportunity to work within an established and busy small animal practice A professional environment focused on excellent patient care The successful candidate will be a skilled and compassionate veterinarian who takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong clinical judgement, and places the wellbeing of every patient at the centre of their approach. • Conducting routine and advanced medical consultations
• Diagnosing and managing a wide range of small animal medical conditions
• Performing surgical procedures and overseeing perioperative patient care
• Delivering compassionate, clear client communication and education
• Managing in-hospital patients and contributing to treatment planning
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and adhering to hospital protocols
