Join our client's team as a Hostess and become the first point of contact for their esteemed guests. Your role is crucial in ensuring excellent customer service and a delightful dining experience.

Description

As a Hostess, your responsibilities will include:

• Warmly welcoming guests to the venue
• Managing reservations efficiently
• Escorting guests to their designated dining or bar areas
• Providing menus and introducing the assigned waiter/waitress
• Creating floor plans for lunch and dinner services
• Liaising with the senior chef regarding menu changes
• Ensuring seamless transition between lunch and dinner services
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization at the hostess desk
• Handling incoming calls and addressing guest queries
• Staying informed about the estate and local information
• Notifying managers and waitstaff about VIP visits promptly
• Adhering to reservation policies and protocols

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12); hospitality certificate preferred
• 1-2 years of prior hostess experience preferred
• Proficiency in restaurant etiquette
• Experience in managing reservations effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone
• Excellent organizational abilities to oversee dining and bar areas
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
• Good physical condition to stand and walk for extended periods
• Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele
• Capable of thriving in a high-pressure environment
• Well-presented with an enthusiastic demeanor
• Flexibility and accountability are key attributes for success in this role.
