Restaurant Operations Manager – 4-Star Hotel | Johannesburg South A well-established 4-star hotel in Johannesburg South is seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee its restaurant, bar and related food and beverage operations. Salary: R35 000 – R40 000 per month, negotiable DOE

• Oversee daily restaurant, bar and room-service operations.
• Lead, train, schedule and performance-manage the team.
• Maintain exceptional guest-service, hygiene and presentation standards.
• Manage budgets, revenue targets, cash-ups, stock, labour costs and waste.
• Resolve guest complaints and lead service-recovery efforts.
• Drive upselling, repeat business and positive guest reviews.
• Ensure compliance with food-safety, liquor, health and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain front-of-house procedures and training manuals.
• Work closely with Kitchen, Front Office, Sales and Marketing.
• Prepare operational and financial reports for executive leadership.

What they're looking for

• Relevant Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management qualification.
• Minimum three years’ senior restaurant or F&B operations experience.
• At least two years’ management experience.
• Previous 4- or 5-star hotel, lodge or fine-dining experience preferred.
• Multi-outlet experience across a restaurant, bar and room service.
• Strong financial, cost-control and stock-management skills.
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory tools and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime.
