Summary

Role Overview

 

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Sales Manager to drive integrated sales and marketing efforts across our portfolio in Camps Bay and Hermanus. This role will develop and execute strategies to increase direct bookings, grow digital traffic, and generate qualified leads. Working closely with the group marketing, operations, and sales teams, you will ensure alignment across all channels and touchpoints.

 

This position is ideal for a results-driven leader with a passion for hospitality, strong digital acumen, and the ability to translate brand objectives into measurable outcomes.

Description

Key Responsibilities

 

Sales Development

  • Drive direct bookings and enquiries through strategic sales initiatives
  • Set and track individual and team sales targets
  • Conduct client outreach, site inspections, and corporate sales calls
  • Analyse competitor activity and local market trends
  • Develop sales strategies to promote midweek and off-season bookings
  • Promote loyalty programs and drive Leisure Club membership
  • Database management and sales data mining

 

Marketing Management

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for each property
  • Collaborate with group marketing and production teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Maintain and optimise all marketing channels:
  • Social media
  • Email marketing
  • SEO & SEM
  • Third-party platforms
  • Traditional and digital advertising
  • Ensure websites are accurate, up to date, and visually aligned with brand standards
  • Maintain all promotional collateral, assets, and imagery

 

Product Knowledge & Development

Maintain deep knowledge of all products, services, policies, and sub-brands

Assist in conceptualising and marketing new offers, services, and facilities

Monitor performance of new initiatives and identify areas for improvement

 

Customer Relations

Deliver a high standard of guest communication and service

Handle client queries and complaints with a professional, solutions-focused approach

Foster repeat business through exceptional customer service

 

Public Relations

Manage PR channels including newsletters, social media, and media partnerships

Support the communication strategy for pre- and post-event interactions

Monitor and respond to online reviews in alignment with brand voice

 

Revenue & Reporting

Assist in setting annual rates and budgets

Monitor revenue across all streams and report weekly/monthly performance

Negotiate packages and rates aligned with business goals

Track lost business and analyse trends for future planning

 

Guest Experience Oversight

Ensure product presentation and service levels match marketing promises

Support event execution and be present during key activities, conferences, and launches

Maintain availability for urgent issues and timely communication

 

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

Education

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Tourism (preferred but not essential)

 

Experience

  • 3–5 years in a similar sales and marketing leadership role within hospitality
  • Proven success in revenue-focused sales strategies
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems (Opera PMS advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in managing online marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Understanding of hospitality marketing structure and multi-brand environments
