Our client, a leading luxury safari operator with an exceptional reputation across East Africa, is seeking a strategic Senior B2B Marketing Manager to join their Cape Town office. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced travel and tourism marketing professional who understands both the sales and marketing landscape and has a proven ability to develop and execute high-impact B2B marketing strategies. Offering a salary of R70,000 – R85,000 per month, this role sits between the Sales and Marketing functions, driving trade engagement, brand growth and commercial success.
Description
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, the Senior B2B Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen the company's position within the international travel trade. Working closely with the Agency Relationship Managers (ARMs), this role will bridge the gap between Sales and Marketing by creating compelling campaigns, tools and resources that generate demand, support sales performance and reinforce the brand's premium market position.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the global B2B marketing strategy, developing innovative campaigns that promote the company's luxury safari experiences to travel agencies, tour operators and trade partners. Responsibilities include managing trade marketing collateral, overseeing agent communications and newsletters, supporting international trade shows and events, developing educational content for agency platforms, analysing campaign performance and identifying new opportunities to increase brand visibility and commercial growth.
This is a highly strategic role requiring someone who can think commercially while remaining hands-on in execution. The successful candidate will work across multiple departments, providing leadership, direction and support to ensure all B2B marketing initiatives align with business objectives and deliver measurable results.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' senior marketing experience within the travel, tourism or luxury hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing B2B marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of the international travel trade, agency networks and sales environments.
- Previous experience working closely with sales teams to develop commercially focused marketing initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage marketing campaigns from strategy through to execution and performance analysis.
- Experience supporting trade shows, agency events, presentations and partner marketing initiatives.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of brand management and premium positioning.
- Experience managing marketing collateral, content calendars and digital communication platforms.
- Passion for luxury travel, safari tourism and destination marketing.
- Willingness to travel when required.
