Our client, a renowned luxury safari lodge, is seeking a professional and hands-on Senior Duty Manager to oversee daily guest operations and uphold world-class service standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong operational background, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
You will be the link between guests and multiple departments, ensuring seamless communication, attention to detail, and operational excellence. This role requires a motivated leader who thrives in a dynamic lodge environment and can take initiative to maintain the high standards associated with luxury hospitality
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all front-of-house and guest-facing operations.
- Coordinate communication between departments (housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, activities).
- Manage guest relations and resolve any complaints or requests swiftly.
- Supervise and motivate lodge staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist with stock control, reporting, and shift planning.
- Uphold brand and operational standards in all aspects of lodge management.
Package
- Salary: R18,000 – R22,000 (depending on experience)
- Accommodation: Live-in available
- Meals: Provided on duty
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in a senior supervisory or management position within a 5-star lodge or boutique hotel.
- Strong operational knowledge of lodge procedures and guest service standards.
- Exceptional leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional and presentable with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
