A respected and forward-thinking veterinary production consultancy based in Pretoria is seeking a motivated and ambitious Veterinarian to join its growing team on a full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian passionate about agriculture, responsible farming, and production animal health, and who wants to build a long-term career within a practice that actively encourages professional development, mentorship, and future ownership.

About the Practice

The well-established consultancy provides specialised veterinary and production support to commercial pig farms throughout South Africa and selected neighbouring regions.

The practice is currently made up of five veterinarian shareholders who work closely together, creating a collaborative environment where new team members receive meaningful support, mentorship, and exposure to all aspects of production animal consultancy.

While previous production animal experience is advantageous, it is not essential. The practice is willing to invest in the right veterinarian and provide structured training and development.

With a strong focus on succession planning and future partnership, candidates under 35 years of age are preferred, allowing sufficient opportunity for meaningful participation in future shareholder opportunities.

  • Travel reimbursement
  • SAVC registration and CPD fully funded
  • Company laptop and cellphone
  • 15 days annual leave
  • Monday–Friday working week
  • Weekends reserved for biosecurity downtime
  • Structured onboarding and comprehensive mentorship

  • Potential for future ownership/shareholder opportunities
