A well-regarded, community-focused small animal practice is seeking a confident, compassionate, and capable Veterinarian to join its team.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a veterinarian with 3–5 years of clinical experience who is comfortable working independently and brings sound clinical judgement, professionalism, and excellent communication skills to every consultation. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of cases while developing strong, lasting relationships with a loyal client base.
While experience is preferred, the practice is also open to considering an exceptional new graduate who demonstrates maturity, initiative, a willingness to learn, and the interpersonal skills required to thrive in a sole-charge environment. Appropriate support and guidance will be available to ensure the successful candidate feels confident in the role.

Description
- Conduct thorough assessments, examinations, and diagnoses of patients’ medical conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures, wound care, and treatments.
- Carry out diagnostic laboratory work, imaging, and ultrasound where required.
- Prescribe and manage appropriate medical treatments.
- Promote preventative health through vaccinations and wellness care.
- Educate and guide clients on optimal pet care and lifestyle choices.
- Perform humane euthanasia when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and legislation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Minimum Requirements
- BVSc Degree and SAVC Registration
- 3–5 years’ small animal clinical experience preferred
- Confident working independently in a sole-charge environment or in a team
- Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
- Compassionate approach to patient and client care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- New graduates with exceptional potential are encouraged to apply
