The Role

The position is ideally suited to a Veterinarian with at least 2–3 years of practical experience who is confident managing Small Animal medical and surgical cases. The successful candidate should enjoy working as part of a team, communicate confidently with clients and colleagues, and have a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Description

  • Conducting routine and advanced medical consultations
  • Diagnosing and managing a wide range of small animal medical conditions
  • Performing surgical procedures and overseeing peri-operative patient care
  • Delivering compassionate, clear client communication and education
  • Managing in-hospital patients and contributing to treatment planning
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and adhering to hospital protocols

Minimum Requirements

  • Has approximately 3 years’ post-graduate veterinary experience
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to patient care and client service
  • Thrives in a team-oriented environment with open communication
  • Enjoys working in a busy, modern, and well-resourced hospital
  • Is dedicated to continuous learning and professional development
  • Is registered with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) and BVSc Degree
