Description
- General Nursing
- Preparing an animal for surgery
- Administering drugs, anaesthetic injections
- Monitoring anaesthetised patients during surgery
- Assisting veterinarian in theatre with surgery when needed
- Undertaking diagnostic tests
- Performing in-house laboratory tests
- Taking and sending off laboratory samples
- Taking radiographs and preparing for scopes procedures
- Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients
- Follow-up care which includes bandage change and suture removal
- Assisting with pharmacy orders and client communication
Minimum Requirements
- Dip/Degree in Veterinary Nursing
- SAVC Registration
- Updated CPD Points
- Excellent Communication Skills, Verbal and Written
- Relationship Building Abilities AND A LOVE FOR ANIMALS
- Sales Skills will be an advantage
- Valid Driver’s License
- Fluent in Afrikaans & English
