Summary

An established and well-regarded Small Animal Veterinary Clinic in Centurion is looking for a friendly, reliable and dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to become part of its team.

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a genuine love for animals and the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy veterinary environment. Fluency in both English and Afrikaans is essential, as is a valid driver’s licence. Candidates must also be Centurion residents.

 

Working Hours

The position follows a rotating shift schedule:

Week 1:

  • Monday – Friday: 07:00 – 13:30, including a 30-minute lunch break
  • 6-hour working day

Week 2:

  • Monday – Friday: 12:30 – 19:00, including a 30-minute lunch break
  • 6-hour working day

Saturday:

  • 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00, including a 30-minute lunch break, depending on the shift

Sunday:

  • 09:00 – 12:00

Public Holidays:

  • 09:00 – 12:00, shared on a rotational basis

 

Remuneration: R10 000 per month

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is essential
  • A passion for animals and their well-being
  • Excellent communication skills and a sparkling, friendly personality
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer proficiency
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English
