Our client, a unique luxury healing farm and hospitality destination in Franschhoek, is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Waitron to join their Food & Beverage team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about personalised service, food, wine and creating memorable guest experiences in an exceptional luxury environment.
Please note: This is a live-out position and candidates must be based locally in Franschhoek or the surrounding area.
Description
The successful Waitron will be responsible for delivering warm, attentive and highly personalised service to guests throughout their dining experience. You will work within an intimate luxury hospitality environment where attention to detail, genuine connection and anticipating guest needs are essential.
Responsibilities will include setting up and preparing dining areas, taking and accurately processing food and beverage orders, serving meals and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. You will also be expected to develop strong product knowledge and confidently communicate menu items, beverages and relevant offerings to guests.
The ideal candidate will be polished, personable and comfortable working in a high-end hospitality environment. A natural ability to connect with guests, work as part of a close-knit team and remain calm and attentive during busy service periods is essential.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience as a Waitron in a luxury hotel, restaurant, lodge or wine estate
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant hospitality experience advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service
- Wine knowledge advantageous
- Excellent English communication skills
- Afrikaans advantageous
- Professional, well-groomed and personable
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident and engaging guest service approach
- Ability to upsell food, beverages and experiences
- Reliable, energetic and team-oriented
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Must be locally based in Franschhoek or surrounding areas
- Own reliable transport advantageous due to the live-out nature of the position
