• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments or referrals
• Provide expert advice on eyewear selection, lens options, and contact lenses
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and developments in optometry

What they're looking for

• Holds a BOptom Optometry qualification and HPCSA registration
• Has at least 1 year of experience working in an optometric practice
• Demonstrates strong clinical and patient-care skills
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Is detail-oriented, professional and self-motivated
• Works well within a team while being able to take initiative
