About the role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Optometrist to join a successful practice in Mauritius. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, identifying and managing vision and ocular conditions, prescribing and dispensing appropriate vision correction solutions, and ensuring a high standard of clinical care and customer service. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Optometrist will oversee the day-to-day operations of the optical branch, ensuring that the store is professionally managed, compliant with applicable regulations and company standards, and provides an exceptional customer experience. The role also involves supervising and developing the shop team, managing stock and operational processes, and building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and other professional stakeholders. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an Optometrist seeking international exposure, clinical and management experience, and the opportunity to develop a long-term career within the optical industry. The successful candidate will work within established international standards and benefit from exposure to a multicultural and multilingual environment in Mauritius.
