About the role

Our client is recruiting three Banqueting Supervisors for a busy luxury hotel in Umhlanga. We are looking for hands-on hospitality professionals who can supervise conference and function set-ups, coordinate service teams and ensure events are delivered efficiently and professionally.

• Supervise banqueting functions and events
• Coordinate function set-ups and breakdowns
• Allocate duties to banqueting staff
• Check function requirements before service
• Ensure venues are prepared according to requirements
• Supervise food and beverage service
• Liaise with Kitchen, Food & Beverage and Events teams
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards
• Assist with guest and client requests
• Support staff training and service standards
• Ensure efficient service throughout functions

What they're looking for

• Previous banqueting or events experience
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Hotel or busy hospitality experience advantageous
• Strong service and operational knowledge
• Confident team leadership
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional presentation
• Able to work under pressure
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
