About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a busy hotel bar in Umhlanga. This is a hands-on management role requiring strong beverage knowledge, stock controls, staff leadership and excellent guest-service standards.

• Manage daily bar operations
• Lead and supervise the bar team
• Maintain beverage quality and service standards
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering
• Conduct and support stocktakes
• Control wastage, breakages and stock movement
• Maintain correct beverage storage and rotation
• Monitor bar cleanliness and presentation
• Support POS, cash-up and operational controls
• Train and develop bar staff
• Ensure professional guest interaction
• Maintain efficient service during busy periods

What they're looking for

• Previous Bar Manager or strong Bar Supervisor experience
• Hotel, restaurant or high-volume bar experience
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers and cocktails
• Good stock-control knowledge
• Staff leadership experience
• Understanding of POS procedures
• Commercial and cost awareness
• Excellent guest-service skills
• Professional presentation
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
