About the role

Our client is seeking a passionate and professional Field Guide to join a boutique safari property in the Thabazimbi area of Limpopo.

The successful candidate will deliver memorable nature experiences, combining sound bush knowledge with engaging guest interaction and a strong commitment to safety.

• Conduct guided game-viewing and nature experiences.
• Share knowledge of wildlife, birdlife, flora and the surrounding environment.
• Provide informative and engaging commentary.
• Maintain professional guest-hosting standards.
• Prepare and inspect guiding vehicles and equipment.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures during activities.
• Assist with guest activities and wider lodge operations when required.
• Support the overall guest experience through warm, personalised service.

What they're looking for

• Recognised field-guiding qualification, preferably FGASA or equivalent.
• Valid driver's licence and appropriate professional driving permit.
• Relevant First Aid certification.
• Previous guiding experience within a lodge, reserve or safari environment preferred.
• Strong bush knowledge and communication skills.
• Confident guest interaction and storytelling ability.
• Professional, responsible and safety conscious.
• Passion for wildlife and conservation.
• Willingness to assist with general lodge activities.

Salary & Position

• Salary: Market Related / Negotiable
• Location: Thabazimbi, Limpopo
• Accommodation: Live-in
