About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of Hospitality to lead guest-facing operations at a boutique safari property near Thabazimbi, Limpopo.
This opportunity requires an all-round hospitality professional who can coordinate accommodation, dining, guest experiences and operational teams while maintaining consistently high service standards.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a smaller property where management is actively involved in daily operations.
- Coordinate guest arrivals, departures and special requests.
- Maintain excellent accommodation and public-area presentation.
- Support restaurant and dining service standards.
- Supervise, train and motivate hospitality staff.
- Coordinate effectively between housekeeping, kitchen, service and guiding teams.
- Monitor guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally.
- Implement practical operating procedures and service standards.
- Assist with stock, purchasing and operational controls.
- Support staff scheduling and daily work allocation.
- Maintain a welcoming and personalised guest experience.
- Work closely with senior management on operational priorities.
What they're looking for
- Proven experience in Lodge Management, Hospitality Management or senior guest operations.
- Previous boutique lodge, safari property or similar hospitality experience advantageous.
- Strong Front of House and guest-relations skills.
- Good understanding of housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations.
- Confident staff leadership and training ability.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Practical approach to operational challenges.
- Professional, personable and guest focused.
- Comfortable managing a small team and remaining hands-on.
- Able to work flexible hospitality hours.
