About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operation of a busy luxury hotel restaurant in Durban. This is a hands-on management position requiring strong Food & Beverage knowledge, confident staff leadership, commercial awareness and a genuine commitment to excellent guest service.

• Manage daily restaurant operations
• Lead the Front of House restaurant team
• Maintain excellent food and beverage service standards
• Conduct briefings and allocate staff responsibilities
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve concerns
• Train, coach and develop restaurant staff
• Manage rosters and operational staffing requirements
• Maintain restaurant presentation and service readiness
• Support stock and beverage controls
• Monitor wastage and operational costs
• Assist with POS, cash-up and reporting procedures
• Work closely with Kitchen and hotel management
• Drive consistent service throughout busy trading periods

What they're looking for

• Proven Restaurant Manager or strong Assistant Restaurant Manager experience
• Hotel, restaurant or high-volume Food & Beverage management experience
• Strong staff-leadership skills
• Excellent guest-relations ability
• Good understanding of restaurant operational controls
• Stock and cost awareness
• POS experience advantageous
• Professional presentation and communication
• Hands-on management style
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment

Salary & Benefits
