About the role
Restaurant Manager, Upmarket Restaurant, Johannesburg Location: Fourways, Johannesburg Salary: R25,000 – R30,000 per month + Performance Incentives (OTE R35,000 – R40,000) Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time Our client, an expanding restaurant group, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of their busy Fourways branch. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven hospitality professional with restaurant management experience who enjoys leading teams, delivering exceptional customer service and driving operational excellence. The successful candidate will oversee all restaurant operations (excluding finance), ensuring smooth daily service, excellent food quality, staff performance, inventory management and outstanding guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of a busy restaurant.
- Lead, mentor and develop front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Oversee daily restaurant opening and closing procedures.
- Manage staffing, scheduling and shift planning.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise food quality, service standards and operational excellence.
- Manage stock control, inventory and supplier ordering.
- Monitor labour costs and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally.
- Drive team performance and maintain brand standards.
- Work closely with ownership to achieve operational goals and business growth.

- Proven Restaurant Manager or Branch Manager experience.
- Strong restaurant operations and hospitality management experience.

- Commercially minded with good organisational skills.
- Hands-on management style.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.

Working Hours
6 days per week
Approximately 10–12-hour management shifts
