About the role

Our client is seeking an energetic and service-focused Wine Lounge Runner to join the team at a prestigious luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch on a fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on support role within a busy guest environment, assisting Wine Tutors and the service team to ensure tastings and food service run smoothly and efficiently

• Support Wine Tutors and service staff throughout daily operations
• Deliver glassware, water, food and other service items to tables
• Clear and reset tables efficiently
• Ensure service stations remain stocked and organised
• Polish and maintain glassware to excellent standards
• Assist with preparation before service
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of guest and service areas
• Respond quickly to requests from the service team
• Assist with stock movement and replenishment
• Follow hygiene and service procedures
• Help maintain smooth service during busy periods

What they're looking for

• Previous Runner, Waiter Assistant or hospitality experience advantageous
• Luxury restaurant or wine-estate experience advantageous
• Energetic and physically able to remain active throughout service
• Strong sense of urgency
• Excellent attention to detail
• Neat and professionally presented
• Reliable and punctual
• Good communication skills
• Team-oriented attitude
• Willing to learn about wine and luxury service
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays
