About the role

a Leading automotive engineering company with a national footprint, specializing in the re-manufacturing and repair of diesel engines and engine components for the mining, construction, transport, and heavy-duty vehicle industries, is looking for an Automotive Engineering Machinist.

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced all-round Automotive Engineering Machinist with extensive experience in the machining and reconditioning of diesel engine components. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering quality workmanship while mentoring apprentices and learners within our engineering workshop.

What they're looking for

• Qualified Red Seal Automotive Machinist
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an automotive engineering or engine reconditioning workshop
• Proven experience machining diesel engine components
• Sound knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines used in mining, construction, agricultural, and transport industries
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to precise tolerances
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Leadership ability with a passion for training and mentoring others
