About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Manager to join our Finance Team. The primary focus of the role will be to support the Group Chief Financial Officer and collaborate with the Group Financial Manager and broader Finance Team, in the execution of the various tasks which the Finance Department is responsible for. The successful candidate will be a qualified CA(SA) (or who may be eligible to register by no later than February 2027) who is confident, an independent thinker, values high standards, is committed to quality and can take initiative.

  • Drafting and review of Annual Financial Statements
  • Review of Monthly Management Packs for each of the group entities
  • Assisting with financial reporting and recording of complex transactions
  • Review of VAT, Payroll returns and payment thereof
  • Completion and/or review of Income Tax Returns, Dividend Tax returns etc. to SARS
  • Preparation of Provisional Tax Returns and Estimates
  • Communication, audit and dispute management with SARS
  • Financial modelling on a transaction basis (such as cash flow forecasts for banks, share and property valuations)
  • Review of legal agreements (lease agreements, sale of shares, sale of going concern etc).
  • Structuring of corporate transactions (buy/sell transactions) in a tax efficient manner
  • Drafting of resolutions and other legal agreements
  • Implementation of group accounting policies
  • Cash management (bank loading and/or review as 2nd authorization before release of payments – ad hoc basis)
  • Preparation of director and shareholder requested financial information
  • Assisting with COIDA and CIPC compliance

What they're looking for

  • Mat Completion of SAICA training contract
  • Preparation of financial models and complex financial information (MS Excel)
  • SARS engagement, filing of returns and dispute resolution
  • Drafting and review of financial statements
  • Tax and Deferred tax computations and estimates
  • Critical analysis of highvolume financial information
  • Drafting / Review of resolutions and legal agreements
  • Experience in Pastel, Draftworx, Caseware and/or Microsoft 365 (advantageous)
  • Leading meetings with directors, shareholders and other business owners (advantageous)
  • Qualified CA(SA) (or eligible to register by February 2027)
