About the role

Our client, an exclusive luxury wellness retreat in the Franschhoek area, is seeking a warm, intuitive and highly capable Guest Experience Host to join their team. This is not a conventional hotel hosting position. While an understanding of 5-star hospitality standards is important, we are looking for someone whose approach to service feels natural, personal and genuine rather than overly formal. The successful candidate will play an important role in the guest journey, ensuring each stay is thoughtfully coordinated from arrival through to departure.

• You will be a key point of contact for guests, assisting with daily plans, experiences, special requests and the many small details that create an exceptional stay.
• The position combines guest hosting, coordination and administration, requiring someone who can move comfortably between engaging with guests and managing the behind-the-scenes details of their experience.
• You will work closely with different operational teams, communicate guest preferences and requirements, coordinate activities and assist in ensuring guest areas and arrival arrangements meet the property's standards.
• This is a very hands-on and guest-facing role. You need to be comfortable making decisions, taking initiative and following matters through without constant supervision.

• Excellent spoken English and communication skills
• Professional presentation
• Strong organisational and administrative ability
• Calm and confident when handling changing guest requirements
• Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently
• Comfortable coordinating several priorities simultaneously
• Genuine interest in wellness, sustainability and conscious hospitality
• Comfortable participating in outdoor activities with guests when required
• Willing to work shifts on a 6 days on / 2 days off rotation
• Must be able to travel reliably to the Franschhoek area or access the available staff transport point in Paarl
• Live-out position

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month
