About the role

Accommodation Maintenance Manager – Hotel - Johannesburg South A well-established 4-star hotel is seeking an experienced and hands-on Hotel Accommodation Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance and engineering activities relating to hotel rooms, guest accommodation areas, corridors, and associated guest-facing infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring all accommodation facilities are maintained to the highest standard, remain fully operational, safe, compliant, and support an exceptional guest experience. Salary: R30,000 per month

• Manage all room maintenance, guest accommodation areas, corridors, and associated infrastructure
• Implement preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
• Ensure high room availability and minimal downtime
• Lead and develop the maintenance team
• Manage maintenance budgets and control costs
• Coordinate contractors and service providers
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements
• Monitor maintenance response times and service standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting systems
• Support the delivery of exceptional guest experiences through proactive maintenance management

What they're looking for

• Management Certificate
• Minimum of four N3 Technical NQF Level Certificates
• At least 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor within a hospitality environment
• Extensive experience with:
• Plumbing and water systems
• Sewerage treatment systems
• Water treatment and desalination plants
• Electrical maintenance (light current)
• Refrigeration systems
• General building maintenance
• Experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and suppliers
• Strong budgeting and cost control experience
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems such as Monday.com and MS Teams
